What we collect and why

InformationHow we use itWhy we’re allowed to use it

Your booking details

Your name, email address, mobile number, chosen A-Frame, stay dates, guest count, and any note you choose to add.

We use these details to check dates, manage your booking, contact you, and help with your stay.We use these details to take the steps you request before booking and, if your stay is confirmed, to provide your reservation. We may also keep relevant records to meet a legal requirement or handle a legal claim.

Payment receipt details

The GCash, Maya, or BDO receipt image and any transaction reference you upload with your booking.

We use these details to match your payment to your booking, confirm your stay, and keep required payment records. We use them to verify payment and complete your reservation. We may also keep required payment records to meet accounting or other legal requirements.

Basic security information

To help prevent repeated or abusive booking attempts, the booking system keeps a scrambled version of your internet address. The website does not keep the original address in its booking-attempt records. Our hosting provider may also handle standard connection and security logs.

We use this information to protect the booking form and keep the website secure. We rely on our legitimate interest in protecting the booking service and preventing misuse.

We need your contact details to handle a booking. Without them, we may not be able to process your request.

Who looks after your information

Camp Zion Tagaytay runs this website and looks after the personal information described in this notice. Our property is in Iruhin East, Tagaytay City, Cavite, Philippines. Questions or requests about your information? Email thecampzion@gmail.com and put “Privacy request” in the subject line.

Who helps us run the service

You provide your contact and stay details through the booking form. Cloudflare hosts the site, stores booking details in the website database, and stores uploaded receipt photos in private object storage. Only Camp Zion's owner can view a receipt photo through the owner area. If booking emails are enabled, Resend receives the guest name, email address, booking reference, stay details, and payment instructions needed to send booking messages and notify Camp Zion when a receipt is uploaded. These providers may process information outside the Philippines. Camp Zion does not sell your personal information.

If you email Camp Zion or ask us a question, Google provides the Gmail inbox where we receive and keep that message and any attachment. Never send your account password, PIN, or one-time code.

If Airbnb or Booking.com calendars are connected, the website checks the dates marked as occupied. It does not import guest names or payment details from those calendars. GCash and your bank handle transfers directly. The website never asks for your account password, PIN, or one-time code.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to respond to a valid legal request, to protect someone’s safety or the property, or with a service provider helping us with the purposes explained here.

How long we keep your information

At the moment, the website does not automatically delete old booking records. Archiving a booking keeps its details and uploaded receipt for payment reviews, refunds, and accounting. We are confirming an appropriate retention schedule with an accountant before setting an automatic deletion period, so older bookings are not currently removed automatically. Some accounting records may need to be kept for a period set by tax law; the exact records and start date depend on the applicable filing rule. We will keep other information only as long as needed, unless the law or a legal claim requires us to keep it longer.

Uploaded receipt photos stay in private storage when a booking is archived. Old scrambled internet-address records are cleared the next time someone submits a booking request; this clean-up does not run on a daily schedule. You can ask us to delete your information, but we may have to keep some records to meet legal requirements.

Your privacy rights

You can ask whether we have information about you and request a copy or correction. In some cases, you can object to its use, withdraw your consent, ask us to delete or restrict it, or request a usable copy to take elsewhere. You may also seek compensation or raise a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. The law may limit these rights when, for example, we must keep records for accounting or a legal claim.

Camp Zion Tagaytay handles privacy requests. Email thecampzion@gmail.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line, tell us what you would like us to do, and include your booking reference if available. We aim to acknowledge your request within five business days. We may ask for information to make sure we are responding to the right person, and we will keep you updated if your request needs more time. You can also contact the National Privacy Commission through its official website.
